Faculty of Engineering Concludes the 8th Annual Engineering Majors Orientation Day
The Faculty of Engineering at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) successfully concluded the 8th Annual Engineering Majors Orientation Day, an event designed to guide students in making informed decisions about their academic and professional pathways within the engineering field.
The event commenced with a presentation highlighting outstanding student teams from Physics I and Physics II, showcasing innovative projects and emphasizing the importance of creativity, collaboration, and teamwork in engineering education.
Students were then introduced to the Faculty’s Outstanding Hub and Centers of Excellence, where they learned about the diverse opportunities available for innovation, research, and professional development. Participants were also encouraged to engage in competitions and initiatives offered through the Innovators Support Fund, which aims to foster creativity and entrepreneurial thinking among students.
Throughout the day, faculty members from the various engineering departments delivered informative presentations on the University’s engineering majors, including Architectural Systems Engineering (ASE), Civil Engineering Systems (CES), Computer Systems Engineering (CSE), Electrical Communication and Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE), Industrial Systems Engineering (ISE), Mechatronics Systems Engineering (MSE). These sessions provided students with valuable insights into each discipline, career prospects, and emerging industry trends.
The event also offered students the opportunity to interact directly with academic staff, ask questions, and gain a deeper understanding of the educational and career pathways available within each major. Additional guidance was provided through the efforts of the MSA Students Training Committee (MSA STC), which highlighted training opportunities, industry partnerships, and the numerous cooperation protocols established between MSA University and leading national and international institutions.
The Orientation Day concluded with inspiring remarks and advice from Prof. Dr. Nahed Sobhi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, who encouraged students to pursue their passions, embrace continuous learning, and take full advantage of the academic and professional opportunities available throughout their educational journey at MSA University.
The annual Engineering Majors Orientation Day continues to serve as a valuable platform for empowering students, supporting informed academic choices, and preparing future engineers for successful careers in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.
