Faculty of Dentistry at MSA University Provides Dental Care and Oral Health Awareness to 250 Patients in Bani Saleh Village
The Faculty of Dentistry at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), through the Medical Convoys Committee and Sustainable Development Committee, in collaboration with DCMSA students and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Mona Fadel, organized a therapeutic and awareness dental convoy to Bani Saleh Village in Fayoum Governorate.
The convoy provided dental care and oral-health services to approximately 250 patients, including clinical examinations, dental extractions, periodontal care, and pediatric dental services. Cases requiring further treatment were referred to the Faculty of Dentistry to continue their care.
Alongside the therapeutic services, the team delivered awareness activities focusing on oral hygiene, prevention of dental caries, and proper nutrition, with particular attention to mothers and children. These sessions aimed to promote healthier daily practices and strengthen awareness of the connection between nutrition and oral health.
As part of the preventive initiative, free toothbrushes and toothpaste were also distributed to support participants in maintaining proper oral-hygiene habits following the convoy.
Through such community-based initiatives, the Faculty of Dentistry continues to combine healthcare services with preventive education and community engagement, while providing students with opportunities to contribute to meaningful outreach activities that support oral health and sustainable community development.
