
Faculty of Arts & Design and “Agrinatec” Honor Winners of the Food Packaging Design Competition
As part of the cooperation protocol between the Faculty of Arts & Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) and Agrinatech, aimed at strengthening the connection between academic education and industry, Prof. Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Arts & Design, and Eng. Mohamed Abdel Karim, CEO and Managing Director of Agrinatech for Processing Industries, honored the winners of the Food Packaging Design Competition.
The competition focused on developing packaging designs for the company’s frozen fruit and vegetable products, representing its first product line intended for the local and international markets and for export.
The competition was held under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty as part of the outcomes of the Packaging Design course within the Visual Design specialization. It was organized and evaluated by an academic committee comprising:
- Prof. Dr. Hoda Madkour – Acting Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development.
- Prof. Dr. Hany El Said – Academic Supervisor of the Graphic Design and Advertising Arts Department.
- Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Attia – Associate Professor, Graphic Design and Advertising Arts Department, and Academic Supervisor of the Competition.
Over six weeks of intensive work, 12 students competed to develop innovative visual and design solutions for the company’s products. Their projects addressed marketing and technical requirements while meeting the latest international export standards and reflecting the quality and identity of Egyptian products.

First Place: Salma El Sayed Mohamed Hegazy – EGP 15,000 cash prize
Second Place: Nour Tarek Helmy – Recognition Award
Third Place: Carol Ekram Aziz – Recognition Award
A number of encouragement awards were also presented to participating students.
