In light of the belief in the power of media, and the transcendent role of research to mold a better society, the faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University launches its 3rd Academic Conference for Transformation in Media "ACT" 2017. The conference is held under the auspices of H.E. the Minister of Higher Education and Academic research Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghafar, and in collaboration the UNESCO, the National Council for Woman and the National Center for Social and Criminal Research. Entitled "Media and Women Empowerment; Challenges and Aspiration", the conference will be held on on the 25th and 26th of November, pursuing the establishment of a venue and utilize researchers' vision for empowering women through media. In its opening session the conference will present tokens of honor to physician and politician Dr. Hossam Badrawy, radio presenter and media figure Amal Fahmy, poet Farouk Goweda, Amal Othman, and Engineer Engy Mansour, all in the presence of the esteemed ministers, celebrities, and public figures. Over the rest of its program, the sessions will feature presentations of submitted researches and studies all before esteemed deans of mass communication faculties, professors, and researchers pursuing sound recommendations and resolutions that will be announced in the closing ceremony as a mile stone to form a collective strategy towards an applicable vision for women empowerment.
