In the 19th century, the tally fabric was created for the first time in the city of Asyut. Tally is a unique Asyut fabric handcrafted through an embroidery technique from geometric shapes with threads made from silver, nickel or copper on the tulle or mesh fabric.
The Fashion Design Department at the Faculty of Arts and Design is thrilled to invite all fashion design students to the session given by one of the most famous designers in the fashion industry Mr. Mohamed Samy, who designed many evening gowns from tally to many celebrities to revive this handicraft.
