The exhibition comes in light of the Egyptian – Russian Culture Year 2021, spurring from the belief - of MSA university and its founder Prof. Nawal El Degwi – in the role of soft power in bridging the gaps between cultures
The exhibition will be held - for the first time - with 360 Digital Interaction technology, which will allow the exhibition to be held on the university campus, in addition to an interactive online version.
A grand opening ceremony will be held featuring performances from the Russian folkloric troupe, the Ministry of Culture troupe, and the Tala'aa Troupe of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in the presence of Her Excellency Prof. Inas Abdel Dayem, Minister of Culture, His Excellency Prof. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, His Excellency Georgy Borisenko, Ambassador of Russia to Egypt, Russian Cultural Counselor Alexey TEVANYAN, and Mr. Sherif Gad, Head of Cultural Activities at the Russian Cultural Center.
Along with a vast list of public figures and pioneers of Egyptian culture, among whom are the “Kirpichenko” family of the former Russian ambassador, interpreter And writer Makarim Al-Ghamry, Ahmed Galal - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Akhbar Al-Youm Foundation, novelist Dr. Muhammad Al-Taan, all of whom will be honored for their role in enriching the cultural movement between Egypt and Russia.
The opening ceremony will also feature the fair’s dignified jury members; Dr. Haitham Al-Hajj - President of the General Book Authority, writer and director Dr. Afaf Tabbalah, the writer Mounir Atiba, Tariq Al-Taher - the former editor-in-chief of Akhbar Al-Adab newspaper Over the course of 10 days, the exhibition program will include a number of cultural activities by top notch artists and writers, including Dr. Medhat Al-Adl, the great critic Prof. Abd al-Salam al-Shazly, the great historian Tariq Mansour, the journalist and writer Essam Yusef, and the journalist Doaa Farouk.
