About

University Podcast Club will provide students with practical opportunities to develop communication, creativity, leadership, teamwork, public speaking, digital production, and interpersonal skills. They will also contribute to a vibrant campus culture and enhance the University’s visibility through student-led creative productions and digital media content.

Vision

To establish a leading student-driven digital platform that amplifies student voices, promotes meaningful conversations, and develops the next generation of digital storytellers and media creators.

Mission

The University Podcast Club aims to provide students with practical experience in podcast development, interviewing, storytelling, audio and video production, digital communication, and content creation while creating meaningful conversations around university life, society, culture, careers, and contemporary issues.

Aims and Objectives

 

  • Develop students’ communication and interviewing skills.
  • Provide practical experience in podcast production.
  • Develop skills in research, scripting, storytelling, recording, editing, and digital publishing.
  • Encourage students to explore contemporary issues and diverse perspectives.
  • Create a platform for conversations with academics, alumni, students, and industry professionals.
  • Strengthen students’ digital media portfolios.
  • Enhance the University’s digital presence and student engagement
  • Encourage responsible and ethical digital communication.
  • Introduce students to emerging technologies, including AI-assisted media production.

Semester 1:

  1. Podcast Club Launch
  •  Introduction to podcasting.
  •  Recruitment of student hosts and production teams.
  •  Identification of podcast themes and formats.
  1. Podcast Production Workshop

Students will receive practical training in:

  1. Interviewing & Storytelling Masterclass

Topics include:
