MSA Model UNESCO Club is a student-led simulation platform that introduces MSA students to the work and decision-making culture of a major global institution. Members take part in country delegations, committee debates, policy research, cultural exchange and resolution drafting around themes related to education, science, culture, heritage, communication, technology and sustainable development. The club aims to build globally aware students with strong skills in diplomacy, leadership, research, negotiation and constructive dialogue.

Why MSA Model UNESCO Club?
MSA Model UNESCO Club is designed to immerse students in a structured simulation of one of the world’s most influential international institutions. UNESCO is the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, a specialized agency that works through education, science, culture and communication to strengthen cooperation and help build peace. The club gives students the opportunity to understand how a major global institution addresses complex challenges while developing diplomacy, research, negotiation, public speaking, teamwork, policy writing and cross-cultural communication skills.
Primary Objectives
- Introduce students to the role, structure and global influence of UNESCO and similar multilateral institutions.
- Create realistic simulations in which students represent Member States, negotiate priorities and develop collective solutions.
- Strengthen research, diplomacy, leadership, public speaking, critical thinking and policy-writing skills.
- Encourage informed discussion of global issues related to education, science, culture, heritage, information, AI and sustainability.
- Promote intercultural understanding and respectful dialogue among students from different academic backgrounds.

Simulation Structure
- General Conference Simulation: student delegations represent countries and debate broad strategic priorities.
- Executive Board Simulation: a smaller group reviews proposals, negotiates implementation priorities and recommends action.
- Specialized Committees: thematic committees focus on education, science, culture, heritage, digital communication, ethics of emerging technology or sustainable development.
- Secretariat Team: student organizers manage research briefs, procedures, documentation, communications and event logistics.
- Country Delegations: members research national positions and prepare policy statements, speeches and negotiation strategies.

- Annual or semester-based Model UNESCO conference at MSA University.

Branding & Usage Guidelines
The club concept is inspired by UNESCO’s official mandate in education, science, culture and communication, and by its governance model involving the General Conference, Executive Board and Secretariat. UNESCO states that its name, acronym and logo are protected and may not be used without prior written authorization. For that reason, this proposal uses the name “MSA Model UNESCO Club” with an original simulation mark rather than modifying or combining the official UNESCO logo. If MSA obtains formal written permission from UNESCO, any official logo use should follow UNESCO’s graphical standards and authorization requirements.
