MSA University - pharmacists in frontlines conference

Through two days the international conference of the Faculty of Pharmacy, MSA University shed light on many urgent health related topics. The conference title was “Pharmacists in frontlines: New challenges & innovative solutions”.

International keynote speakers have demonstrated important data and research that covered disease and patient wellbeing subjects.

The conference has reached very fruitful recommendations that can contribute to health research fields. These recommendations focused on the use of small interfering RNA (siRNA) as an innovative out of the box tool for treatment. It is aimed to deliver antiviral siRNA either directly using cytosol targeting bacterial toxin or indirectly by using exosomes.

Widespread use of antibiotics should be discouraged, as they may lead to higher bacterial resistance rates, which will impact the burden of diseases and deaths in a population during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.

Principles (IPC) and AMS need to be applied to the COVID-19 clinical management / decision making process in all healthcare settings.

It is also recommended to use Nanofibers as excellent nano formulations for targeting brain.

Bright future is waiting for AI as saving money & time in radiology based assisted diagnosis, genomics, drug prescription and drug interactions. Pharmacoeconomics and health economics open the gate for many job opportunities in academia, market research, epidemiology, data management, biostability and health care policy.

Monitoring of the safety of COVID-19 vaccines as the global pandemic requires continuous attention.

The trials for using new antiviral agents in influenza treatment is still an interest in virology due to resistance to previous antiviral agents. The concept of polypharmacology is of great value for medicinal chemists to apply in drug repurposing and repositioning in order to reach treatment in less time and cost for patient health.

All academics, researchers, industry professionals and students are welcomed to join us in this valuable gathering.

Prof. Dr. David M. AronoffProf. Dr. David M. Aronoff, MD is the Director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Strategic HRM Review in the Light of the Change in Business Environment after CoronaVirus Pandemic

Overview:

Balancing the characteristically debatable views of the "regional labour representing organization-ALO" and "Arab labour governments' officials" in supporting labour forces; the "labour syndicates" and their pressure to ensure stable labour hiring and wage stability; and, the interests of businesses reasoned by the representatives of "chambers of commerce", formed the guiding rule that steered the direction of the discussion.

The discussion ensured the need for sustainable labour employment policies and regulations as a path to meet the challenges brought by the attack of the pandemic.

Attendees:

Representatives of 17 Arab Nation States / 79 Entity / 149 Participant of Labor Governments' Officials/ Chambers of Commerce/ Labour Syndicates/ and Business Enterprises.

MSA University - Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Integration of the UN SDGs in MSA Activities:
Our world faces many challenges that endanger our existence; the most pressing include achieving economic prosperity and ending poverty, and environmental sustainability.

The United Nations’ “Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” is one of the most ambitious and important global agreements in recent history.

There are 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which were adopted by the UN in 2015 to provide a framework to achieve a better and more sustainable future for all.

The SDGs comprise a wide range of complex social, economic, and environmental challenges through adequate transformations in how societies and economies act and how we interact with our planet Earth. Given their unique influential position in society, universities have a critical role to play in the achievement of the SDGs through education, research, operation, innovation and community leadership. These can be achieved on global, national and local community levels.

MSA University wishes to help all its students and all its affiliates to develop a well-rounded understanding of how global challenges need to be addressed.

This will be achieved through inspiring its students and other affiliates to define their aims in life, mission and legacy through the integration of the 17 UNESCO 2030 goals in all their future plans.

To familiarize yourself with the SDGs, please check the following Videos on Sustainable Development Goals:
