Academic Excellence:

The MSA Faculty of Mass Communication stands out with three programs validated by both Egypt's Supreme Council and the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE).

 

Limited class sizes, capped at a maximum of 40 students

 

Teaching 4.5 hours for 3 credit-hour courses.

British Education:

The three programs offered by the MSA Faculty of Mass Communication are validated by the esteemed University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom. Our graduates not only acquire a bachelor's degree from Egypt but also receive a parallel degree from the UK, providing them with international recognition and quality assurance.

MSA's Career Placement Center (CPC) arranges two employment fairs each year, featuring a wide range of national and multinational companies across various industries, providing valuable job opportunities for students. Concurrently, the CPC conducts workshops on interview skills and CV writing to thoroughly prepare students for these fairs.
 

The Center for Studies and Statistics has reported an impressive statistic, revealing that 96.6% of MSA graduates secure immediate employment upon graduation.

Extra-Curricular Activities:

 

MSA Annual festival;

MSA Faculty of Mass Communication organizes an annual gala festival to showcase students' work. The festival serves as a unique opportunity for graduates to present their work and engage with industry experts.
 

MCOM Studios;

This TV service empowers students to create and produce their own programs for streaming on campus. Under the supervision of faculty and technical staff, students gain practical experience in various aspects of media production, including presenting, directing, camera operation, and production.

It’s with a great pleasure that I welcome you to join MSA’s faculty of mass communication, wishing you all a fruitful academic year. Becoming a part of MSA and mass communication faculty, you have gained the opportunity to receive education in one of the most prominent educational organizations in the entire region.

 

New beginnings are always confusing; you must all feel fear of the gap you will face between your school and college education; but I assure you that you will all witness your anxieties fade away day by day. Each and every one of our academic staff is willing to offer you help and guidance whenever needed so never hesitate to ask.

 

Joining our faculty, you will have the chance to know about the three departments available in the field of mass communication if you have a passion for writing you will find in journalism electives a wide arena to express this passion; and in a fierce competitive market place, creativity in creating advertising campaigns has become an intriguing necessity; marketing and public relations electives provides you with the essential tools for launching successful promotional campaigns and for the power of imaginary, broadcasting courses is a perfect choice to get in touch with this talent and feel this power that is way beyond imagination.

The faculty of Mass Communication provides the students with progressive curricula with a focus on digital and artificial intelligence applications in order to fulfill the complex demands of the job market of the future. MSA University - Mass Communication Admission

Conditions Required for Each Certificate:

Thanaweya Amma:

  • Scientific Sections (Science & Math Branches).
  • Art Section.

IGCSE & GCSE:

 

1- The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8) different subjects as follows:

  • English Language or Literature is a MUST.
  • In addition to (7) subjects from the list of subjects approved by the Egyptian Ministry for Higher Education.

2- Passing grade for (OL) subjects is "C"

3- Passing grade for (AL or ASL) is "D"

4- Accepted scores must be taken during not more than (4) successive years with no maximum number of IGCSE sittings.

American Diploma:

 

1- The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8) different subjects as follows:

 

  • English Language or Literature or Composition is MUST.
  • In addition to (7) more different subjects from the list of subjects approved by the Egyptian Ministry for Higher Education

2- At least (4) subjects from Grade 12 + Maximum of (2) subjects from Grade 10.

3- The passing grade for SAT 1 or EST 1 is 800 while ACT I the passing grade is 820.

4- Each requested subject MUST be at least (1) credit.

 

Important Note: The rules regarding the validity and the accepted dates for SAT / ACT or EST are set and will be announced by the Ministry of Higher Education in Egypt.

N.B : The passing grade for SAT2/EST2/ACT2 is 900

Canadian:

 

1. The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8) different subjects

 

  • (English Language or Literature is a MUST in addition to (7) different subjects from the list of subjects approved by the Egyptian Ministry for Higher Education)

2- At least (5) subjects from Grade 12 +Maximum of (3) subjects from Grade 11.

3- Subjects with less than one credit are not accepted.

 

IB:

1. The Total number of subjects to be calculated are (8) different subjects

  • English Language or Literature
  • + (5) subjects from the list of subjects approved by the Egyptian Ministry for Higher Education

2- The student MUST study (3) subjects at least on the higher level + (3) on the standard level

3- In addition to studying Theory of Knowledge & Extended Essay

4- Passing score is 24/45

Abitur:

 

1. The total number of subjects to be calculated are (7) different subjects as follows:

  • English Language is a MUST.
  • In addition (6) different subjects from the list of subjects approved by the Egyptian Ministry for Higher Education.

2. ONLY (1) subject can be calculated from Grade 10 if (Biology - Chemistry - Physics).

French Baccalauréat:

1. The total number of subjects to be calculated are (7)

2. Passing mark is (10)

3. French Oral & French Écrit are calculated as one subject

4. Série Littéraire (L)/ Sciences Économiques et Sociales (ES)/ Série Scientifique (S) Are qualified to join the Faculty of Mass communication .

* Other foreign certificates including certificates from Arab countries are evaluated at the Admission Office in accordance to the regulations set by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.

Going Abroad.

1. Greenwich Summer Programme:

Students of the Faculty of Management have a chance to travel to Greenwich University in the UK for two-three weeks of the summer course to achieve the practical part of the course while the theoretical part is conducted in MSA University prior to their travel to the UK. The students then return to MSA University for course revision and Final Exam.

2. Exchange Programme:

According to an exchange programme between the Faculty of Management Sciences and Westminster Business School in the UK, some of our students travel for an entire semester to Westminster University. Candidates are selected according to their profile, CGPA, as well as personal interviews. .

3. Master’s Scholarship:

Greenwich University awards scholarships annually to the top graduates to pursue their master’s degree.

MSA University - Mass Communication Student feedback
Board of Study and Student Representation.

The purpose of the board of study is to provide a forum for discussion between students and staff involved in all aspects of the course. The membership includes:
- Chair (Dean).
- Director of Quality Assurance.
- Director of Student Affairs.
- Advising and Registration Manager.
- Relevant course leaders.
- Student Representatives.
- Support Services Representatives.
- Secretary to take the minutes.
The students volunteer as representatives at the start of each academic year and students’ affair ensures that all various interests on the course are represented. Student representatives are responsible for notifying the board with the students concerns, suggestions and complains. A meeting is held during each semester normally in the weeks 6-8 as declared in the quality assurance calendar. Dates of the board of studies are published on MSA website. The agenda must include all obligatory items but further items suggested by student representatives and members of the committee should be added where appropriate. The minutes should cover all agenda items and include a summary of the main points of discussion and an action/outcomes list. Any actions required should include the timescale, the name of the person responsible and when a report back to the board is expected, they should also include progress of actions from the previous minutes.
