While working on her PhD in Engineering at the University of Greenwich, She decided to invest her knowledge and skills towards accelerating the results of medical research experiments using AI technology. Along with her team she has been working on this business idea since November 2018 at I3center at UoG, Since then, Rapid Bio-labs have won the Engineers in Business award from the I3 centre at UoG in March 2019. Following this achievement, the Lord Sainsbury of Turville granted them the Champion of Champions award at the Royal Academy of Engineering in October 2019.
She also holds a Postdoctoral position at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, Bangor University, UK: Post-doctoral research officer at Semiconductor-based Ultrawideband Micromanipulation of CAncer STEm Cells (SUMCASTEC) Project.
Dr El Toukhy, earned her MSc scholarship degree in wireless mobile communications systems engineering from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom. She also received a Dual BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) University & University of Greenwich, Egypt.
