The Faculty of Arts & Design at MSA University is set to organize a hands-on workshop entitled “Digital Image Creation: Mobile Photography & AI,” introducing students to a contemporary approach to visual content creation that combines mobile photography with Artificial Intelligence.
The workshop will explore how a mobile phone can become a creative camera and how AI can serve as a creative assistant, while emphasizing that the photographer’s vision remains at the heart of creating a meaningful image.
Throughout the workshop, participants will explore visual vision, angles, distance, perspective, and the decisive moment, while learning how to make the most of their phone cameras and understand the creative possibilities of mobile photography.
The workshop will also cover light, depth of field, focal length, and image composition, alongside AI-powered image development and its creative possibilities. Participants will explore the difference between enhancing an existing image and creating an entirely new image using AI, as well as the professional opportunities available in photography and visual content creation.
The workshop will be presented by Dr. Ahmed Hussien, PhD in Applied Arts and Assistant Professor of Cinematography, Photography & Television Production, with academic experience at the International Academy for Engineering and Media Science in Cinema Production, and Galala University in Media Production, TV Production, and Computer Science – Graphics Information Technology.
The workshop reflects the Faculty of Arts & Design’s commitment to introducing students to contemporary creative practices and emerging technologies while encouraging them to develop their own visual perspective and explore new possibilities in visual content creation.
The central message of the workshop is simple: the mobile phone is the tool, AI is the helper, but it is the vision that makes the picture.
