The Faculty of Computer Science at MSA is set to organize an engaging technical session entitled “BEYOND PROMPTING: Engineering Agentic AI Systems,” bringing together faculty members, researchers, and students to explore the engineering behind modern Agentic AI systems.

The session will be delivered by Prof. Ahmed Elshafee and will explore how AI can move beyond traditional prompting toward engineered systems capable of reasoning, using tools, handling errors, and executing multi-step workflows.

The session will cover key concepts shaping the development of Agentic AI systems, including:
– Context Engineering & Prompt Engineering
– Tool Integration & Agentic Workflows
– Execution Loops & Graph-Based Orchestration
– AI Harnesses and Controlled AI Systems
– Live Python Demonstrations & Hands-on Activities
Through live demonstrations and practical activities, participants will gain insights into how these components work together to create more structured and capable AI systems.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops and ensure an active Internet connection to follow the live demonstrations and experiment with the code during the session.

The session reflects the Faculty of Computer Science’s commitment to providing students, researchers, and faculty members with opportunities to explore emerging technologies and engage with the latest approaches in artificial intelligence engineering.
