“Bridging Theory and Practice” Seminar on Risk Management at MSA

The Faculty of Management Sciences at MSA, through the Finance Club, organized a specialized seminar entitled “Bridging Theory and Practice: Risk Management in Finance and Auditing” on October 10, 2026, at 10:00 AM at SSB Cinema Hall 2.

The seminar hosted Mr. Mohamed El-Touny, General Manager of Financial Reporting at the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), who shared his professional expertise and practical insights into risk management across the fields of finance and auditing.

The seminar aimed to strengthen the connection between academic knowledge and professional practice, providing students with an opportunity to explore how concepts related to risk management, financial reporting, and auditing are applied in real-world business environments.

Through direct interaction with a financial sector professional, students gained insights into key practices and challenges shaping the financial industry, while developing a deeper understanding of how their academic studies connect to professional responsibilities and the requirements of the job market.

The session also highlighted the importance of risk management in supporting sound financial decision-making, strengthening effective auditing practices, and promoting sound governance within financial institutions.

As the first activity organized by the Finance Club, the seminar reflected the Faculty of Management Sciences’ commitment to connecting students with professionals and experts across the business and financial sectors and providing practical learning opportunities that support their academic and professional development.
