Introduction
The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly offers a Master’s program in Media, fully accredited by the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities.
It aims to prepare qualified media professionals and researchers who can effectively respond to the rapidly changing digital media environment. The program develops students’ knowledge and skills in media convergence, digital transformation, cross-platform content production, artificial intelligence, immersive technologies, and digital media strategies. It also strengthens their research, analytical, and critical-thinking skills, enabling them to conduct advanced media research, evaluate digital content, address misinformation, and understand the relationship between media, technology, and sustainable development
A detailed description of the two specializations is as follows:
1st Specialization: Media Convergence
The Media Convergence Specialization is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and competencies required to understand and navigate the rapidly evolving, interconnected media environment.
It comprises a total of 33 credit hours, structured as follows:
- 24 credit hours for academic courses, completed over three academic semesters.
- 9 credit hours dedicated to the Complementary Research ( thesis) , completed over two academic semesters.
Accordingly, the minimum duration for completing the Master’s degree is five academic semesters.
