MSA’s Mass Communication Student Wins Award at the First University Podcast Festival
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly congratulates Lina Mohand, a student at the Faculty of Mass Communication, on winning the Special Award in the Investigative Podcast Category at the First University Podcast Festival.
Lina received the award for her podcast “Etkalemy”, which was presented as part of the festival held under the theme “A Voice That Changes… Stories to Combat Violence Against Women.” The podcast stood out for its professional approach, strong narrative structure, and impactful treatment of a critical social issue.
The First University Podcast Festival served as a competitive platform that brought together Mass Communication students from universities across Egypt, aiming to support emerging talent in podcasting and encourage the production of high-quality audio content that addresses influential societal topics. The festival featured a wide range of submissions across multiple categories and was evaluated by a distinguished panel of academics and media professionals specializing in digital media and audio production.
This achievement was accomplished under the academic supervision of Dr. Amira Dakroury, a media professional, television correspondent, and specialist in social media, whose guidance and support played a key role in the project’s success and professional execution.
This accomplishment reflects MSA University’s ongoing commitment to nurturing creative talent and empowering students to produce meaningful media content that contributes positively to society.
