
The Faculty of Management Sciences Hosted Seminar on Economics and Global Influence by Mr. Ashraf Mohamed Naguib
The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly hosted a distinguished seminar delivered by Mr. Ashraf Mohamed Naguib, CEO and Co-Founder of Global Trade Matters Economic Think Tank – Egypt, Director of Corporate Strategy and Development at the Egyptian International Shipping Group, and Secretary General & Board Member of the Asia–Egypt Business Association.
Mr. Naguib presented an insightful session entitled “Economics as a Pathway to Global Influence.”
During the seminar, Mr. Naguib highlighted how a strong academic and practical grounding in economics equips future diplomats, policymakers, and professionals to operate effectively within major international institutions such as the United Nations, the World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. Drawing on his extensive expertise, he illustrated how economic literacy strengthens policy analysis, negotiation capabilities, and strategic decision-making—essential competencies for navigating global challenges and contributing to international development.
The seminar was attended by a group of students and professors from the Faculty of Management Sciences, representing various majors. The session inspired participants to explore career pathways that connect economic knowledge with international diplomacy, global policy shaping, and sustainable development.
