
Biotech Horizons 2050 — A Remarkable Success
This year, the Faculty of Biotechnology at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized the event Biotech Horizons 2050, coordinated by the Complex Genome Analysis course, in honor of the late Dr. Osama Saad. The event beautifully combined academic legacy with scientific innovation.
The event witnessed strong student engagement as participants explored advanced topics such as modern gene sequencing technologies, bioinformatics algorithms, and insights from functional genomics, with a focus on real-world applications in medicine, agriculture, and disease treatment.
The program was enriched by an elite lineup of distinguished speakers:

Each provided valuable perspectives and experiences that greatly enhanced the students’ scientific understanding.
The event also featured practical workshops, most notably an accredited Computer-Aided Drug Design session, offering participants hands-on experience that boosts their professional readiness.
As a motivational gesture, the most engaged students were honored with exclusive training workshops presented by Scienology. The day also showcased three of the most impressive student innovations, reflecting their growing scientific potential.
Biotech Horizons 2050 successfully amplified engagement and strengthened the spirit of learning and collaboration within the biotechnology community, carrying forward the legacy of Dr. Osama Saad and inspiring a promising future of scientific advancement.
