The paper presents, for the first time, a compact ultra wide band and impedance transformer based on new configuration of composite right/left handed transmission line is presented (L-CRLH). The proposed design introduces ultra wide band pass frequencies extended from 3 GHz up to 12 GHz with perfect matching transmission co-efficient. Moreover, it introduces very compact size equal 2.7×8.6 mm2.
