The opening of the parametric furniture exhibition within the activities of evaluating the projects of the third year students at the Department of Interior Design at the Faculty of Art and Design at MSA University.
90 students worked together in groups within the Furniture Design and Implementation course as the study objective was based on the design and implementation of parametric pieces of furniture inspired by nature. Proud to mention, the students were able to design functional and aesthetic pieces of furniture, identify the different types of wood suitable for each design and distinguish between them, and learn about the different ways of making furniture, equipment used in the manufacturing stages, and methods of their various installations.
Major factories and companies in the field of furniture industry in Egypt, such as Nadim Furniture Factory and Al-Najjar Furniture Factory, have contributed to the implementation phase within the framework of cooperation protocols with the faculty.
The exhibition was under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Hoda Gad, Dr. Nada Areeshah, Eng. Yomna Hamdy, Eng. Fatima Zakaria, Eng. Nevin Hady, and Eng. Nesma Alaa.
