This extraordinary achievement was made possible by the "Akid Set!" campaign, created by the talented students of the Faculty of Media: Rola Ahmed, Maihatab Tarek, Mirna Hesham, and Kanz Mohamed, under the supervision of Dr. Rania Shaaban and Assistant Lecturer Nada Bahgat. The campaign was not just an idea—it was a powerful message aimed at changing society's stereotypical views of women.
"Akid Set!" focused on challenging negative labels attached to women, such as "nagging," "man-hunting," and "tomboy." Rather than merely presenting the problem, the campaign offered innovative solutions rooted in psychological and scientific awareness, leaving a lasting impact.
The campaign also included a field study, designed to boost women’s self-confidence and raise awareness about the harmful effects of these labels on society. It was a prime example of creativity, embodying the vision of young women striving for a more conscious and just society.
Additionally, Dr. Mariam Amer, Lecturer in the Public Relations and Advertising Department, won third place in the competition for her research titled: "Digital Media Literacy and Gender Representation: An Analytical Study of the Instagram Accounts of Famous Female Personalities." Under the patronage and in the presence of Dr. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication at MSA University and deans and professors of media from different universities
This achievement of Faculty of Mass Communication reaffirms that MSA's students are not only capable of making a difference but are also paving the way for positive change in society. "Akid Set!"—and the success that followed—proves that the future is bright, and success is certain!.
