The Symposium coveredpresentations and posters about agricultural, medical, environmental,and industrial Biotechnology. Ten of our own students from faculty ofBiotechnology attended the Symposium; 6 students participated withpresentations, and four others participated with posters. Omar Nowarwon the first place in the oral presentations about IndustrialBiotechnology and won a free internship for one month in Wadi Foods.Hassan Sayed Zaki also won first place in agricultural presentationsand won a free internship for one month in The Agricultural ResearchCenter. The four students that presented posters won 50% discounttraining in SIRA Labs for one month. The organizers of the Symposiumwere invited in our University on Monday 18th of March in order tocelebrate with the staff of Biotechnology the success of the event andthe achievements of the students. Dr. Nawal El Degwi welcomed themherself and they had a tour around the campus with the dean of Faculty Dr. Ayman Diab, and Dr. Gehan Safwat.
The Second Biotechnology Symposium in Faculty of Science, CairoUniversity was held on Saturday, 16th of March. The Symposium includedstudents from Biotechnology from four different universitiesincluding; MSA, GUC, Cairo University, and MUST.
