Within the framework of the keenness of the Faculty of Arts and Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) to develop and enhance the skills of the students, and as a part of the students’ curricula of studying the styles of architecture and interior design in different Islamic Eras within the course of “History and Interior Design”, the Faculty organized a field trip to Al-Moez Street for the students of the Interior Design Department. The Fieldtrip included a visit to Al-Aqmar Mosque, Al-Suhaimi House and Qalawun Complex.
During the fieldtrip, the students acquainted closely with the details of the elements of architecture, interior design and decorations for these Islamic buildings that belongs to different eras. Furthermore, one of the things that caught their attention and focused on was how Islamic buildings achieve the foundations of sustainability and preservation of the environment.
