The external speaker sessions included lectures from industry professionals and academics on miscellaneous fields in addition to field trips to water treatment plants in Cairo.
The students subsequently presented their posters for evaluation by two examiners. The poster discussion sessions usually serve as a trial for assessments the students are due to receive in their senior year while presenting their graduation projects.
The students presented interdisciplinary research proposals on various topics including environmental and water solutions, agriculture, medicine, and pharmaceuticals, all aimed at satisfying sustainable development goals.
Notably, this semester, the students featured an ample number of projects involving the use of artificial intelligence tools for various purposes including prioritizing Covid-19 vaccine delivery as well as smart face mask detection and using AI for therapeutic applications.
All evaluations were carried out in adherence to the proper distancing and safety measures.
