The visit was led by members of the Sustainable Development Committee along with students from the DCMSA (Dental Community and Medical Students Association). The team engaged with the children to educate them on methods for preventing tooth decay, maintaining oral hygiene, and the importance of proper nutrition and personal hygiene.
In addition to the awareness activities, the team also conducted dental check-ups on the children, assessing their oral health and identifying treatment needs. These identified needs will be addressed through the Faculty of Dentistry’s clinics, ensuring that the children receive the necessary dental care.
Eighth-semester students also participated in the campaign as part of their field training, gaining valuable experience while contributing to the well-being of the children in the community. The initiative not only provided essential education and dental care but also highlighted the Faculty’s commitment to social responsibility and giving back to the community.
This event was a wonderful opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children with disabilities and promote the importance of maintaining good oral and personal health from a young age. The Faculty of Dentistry remains dedicated to its mission of enhancing health awareness and providing accessible healthcare to all.
