The Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) organized one of the most important symposiums this year that took place on Monday 15th of November, 2021 on MSA Campus grounds at the student service building (SSB).

Under the title “Dramatic Vision: Media And Health”, the Faculty of Mass Communication presented a symposium that focused on the role of the series “Khali Balak Min Zizi – خلي بالك من زيزي” in building societal awareness of ADHD. This symposium came off within the framework of creating a conscious scientific environment to get ready for the seventh media and scientific conference of the Faculty of Mass Communication “Healthy Media in the Digital Era” that is set to take place next December.

With a scientific and informative atmosphere characterized by professionalism and exclusivity, the symposium was moderated by the media practitioner Dr. Muhammad Al-Gendy and was held in the presence of the astounding director Karim El-Shennawy, the distinguished writer Maryam Naoum, the amazing artist Sabri Fawaz, the psychiatrist Dr. Nabil Nasr, and some of MSA Mass Communication graduates including the young artist Gala Hesham, as well as Micheleen Amir, the founder of the “Judge Me” initiative.

The participants were honored by Prof. Dr. Nawal Al-Degwi, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, Prof. Amani Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication with the attendance of a large number of MSA University students, and staff members.

As the creative team who participated in the series shared their stories during the shooting of the series, it was discovered that they were suffering from the same disease, which made them present the artistic work with awareness and professionalism. This had a huge impact on the entire Arab public as it alerted the society of the danger of ignoring such diseases and their impact on the child and their personality. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Nawal El Degwi presented her personal experience as a generational educator in discovering this disease and how to deal with it. Additionally, she praised the efforts and offers of the Faculty of Mass Communication led by the distinguished Prof. Dr. Amani Fahmy, for the unique media work that increases community awareness.
