The Faculty of Engineering - October University for Modern Sciences and Arts welcomed a high-level delegation from the Federation of Arab Engineers, representing The Board of Trustees of the Arab Commission for Accreditation in Engineering and Technology (ACAET). They were received by Dr. Khairy Abdelhamid, the university president, and Dr. Nahed Sobhi, the dean of the Faculty, along with the faculty's vice deans, program directors, distinguished faculty members, and staff.
Mr. Qusai Al-Salehi and Dr. Mamoun Al-Wara'a conveyed the regard and respect of Mr. Adel Al-Hadithi, the president of the ACAET, to the university president and the dean of the Faculty of Engineering. They expressed their great satisfaction with the successful completion of the visit and emphasized the depth and continuity of cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering at the university and the Federation. The delegation visited several classrooms, educational and research laboratories, educational workshops, distinguished research centers, and the outputs of education and learning, including graduation project models and academic and research activities conducted by faculty members and assistants. They also visited the distinguished library to foster an educational environment that encourages scientific research and to stay updated on new developments in scientific journals, references, and digital research platforms.
They praised the high and distinguished level of educational facilities, the excellent educational resources and infrastructure, the distinguished quality assurance systems, ensuring adherence to international standards to enhance education and learning systems, and the adoption of modern methods and means. The delegation also praised the outstanding capabilities of the Faculty of Engineering, its adherence to international standards, and its continuous and successful partnership and twinning with the English prestigious University of Greenwich. The visit concluded with a commemorative photo and farewells, appreciating the efforts made by October University for Modern Sciences and Arts in organizing and receiving the delegation, and looking forward to continuing fruitful and constructive cooperation to elevate the status of Arab universities and enhance their global competitiveness and leadership.
The visit also emphasized the continuation of coordination and cooperation between the Faculty of Engineering and the Federation to keep them informed about all new specialized engineering programs and the continuous updating of curricula in various engineering programs to supply the Egyptian, Arab regional, and international job markets with competent engineers equipped with the necessary skills, capabilities, personal and academic traits required by the job market, and to link with the industry.
