Arts & Design at MSA winning in the 7th edition of the Arab StarPack

The Lebanese Packaging Center (LibanPack) honoured our students from the Faculty of Arts and Design at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) for winning in the 7th edition of the Arab StarPack International Competition at a grand celebration, presided over by Soha Attallah, the Deputy Director of the World Packaging Organization, in the presence of the President of the World Packaging Organization, Mrs. Luciana Pellegrino, the Regional President of UNIDO, Dr. Patrick Jean Gilabert, the President of the Egyptian Chamber of Printing and Packaging, Engineer Nagib Elias, along with the presidents of printing and packaging chambers from many Arab and African countries and many professors from Egyptian and Arab universities.

 

The Arab StarPack Competition is a regional competition involving all Arab countries, specializing in sustainable packaging design, where 602 students from 10 Arab countries participated in three categories: Visual Design for Packaging, Structural Design, and Food Preservation.

 

Our students from the Faculty of Arts and Design, Graphics and Media Arts Department, participated in the competition for the fourth consecutive year under the patronage of Professor Tarek Saleh, Dean of the Faculty, and under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Attia, who is responsible for teaching this course, along with the teaching team consisting of Assistant Lecturer\ Nashwa Mahmoud, Teaching Assistants Rawan Al-Agiel, Nasreen Heikal, Ahmed Ayman, and Marwa Ismail. The students continued to win awards for the fourth consecutive year, obtaining six out of ten awards as follows:

 

- Save the Food Category:

First Place: Amr Ali

Third Place: Dareen Mostafa Mohamed

 

- Structural Packaging Category:

Second Place: Youssef Ahmed Mostafa

Third Place: Nouran Hamdy

 

- Visual Packaging Category:

Third Place: Sohaila Hisham

Third Place: Nouran Yehia Ibrahim
