"Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media Literacy" Mass Communication's Workshop
As part of its commitment to equipping students with cutting-edge knowledge and skills, the Faculty of Mass Communication at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence and Digital Media Literacy". This insightful session, held in collaboration with the Faculty’s Alumni Committee, brought together students and faculty members to explore the transformative impact of AI on the media landscape.

The workshop was led by Ms. Mirna Hossam, an accomplished graduate of the faculty, who highlighted the critical role of AI in addressing misinformation and detecting fake news and images on social media platforms. Students were introduced to a variety of smart tools and applications reshaping the media industry, enabling them to better understand and adapt to the challenges of the digital age.

The event was supervised by Dr. Hayat Badr, Head of the Public Relations and Advertising Department, and Ms. Sally Saeed, Assistant Lecturer in the department. The interactive format allowed participants to engage in meaningful discussions and share innovative ideas on leveraging AI to promote media integrity and reliability.

This workshop is yet another example of MSA’s dedication to fostering a forward-thinking educational environment, preparing students to excel in a rapidly evolving industry.
