Within the framework of cooperation between The Faculty of Arts and Design at MSA University and Nadim industries to break the barriers between academic studies, the labour market, and specialized professional institutions and within the keenness of MSA University to develop the students' knowledge and practicality, 50 students from the 3rd level Interior design department, Faculty of Arts and Design went in a field trip to Nadim Industries.
The field trip was a part of Furniture construction and details unit where the students acquired knowledge of the furniture production industry and details about the machines and materials used in furniture making.
In addition, the visit helped the students in identifying the different types of wood, the ways of knowing the difference between its types, and the usage of each type along with identifying the different ways of furniture foundations, finishes, equipment and installations.
Moreover, they got to know the learning process of generating furniture drawings with a preliminary understanding of construction documents and details as they apply to furniture making field.
