5th Annual media Conference (ACT)

Concluding the activities, discussions and proposals of the fifth scientific conference of the Faculty of Mass Communication, October University for Modern Sciences and Arts - MSA University under the title "Media & Climate Change", which was held on Saturday, 30th of November in the presence of:

Dr.. Nawal El-Degwi - The head of the Board of Trustees at MSA University

 

Prof.Dr. Khairy Abdel Hamid - President of the University.

 

Prof. Amany Fahmy - Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication and President of the Conference.

 

Dr.. Iman El Sayed, Head of Planning Sector, on behalf of the Minister of Irrigation, Water Resources and Irrigation

 

Dr.. Khaled Fahmy, former Minister of Environment.

 

Mahmoud Kabil - Former Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations.

 

Mr. Mahmoud Al-Sharif, First Deputy of the House of Representatives.

 

The great journalist Makram Mohamed Ahmed, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Media Regulation.

 

Dr. Khalid Abu Zaid, Member of the Board of Governors of the Arab Water Council.

 

Mr. Amr Mahsoub - Deputy Chairman of the State Information Service.

 

 

A number of researchers participated in this conference with scientific papers that monitor the role of audiovisual and digital media in raising awareness of the water and climate challenges and its impact on different sectors of society.

 

 

The conference also included a round table between media and academics to discuss the latest developments in climate and water issues in Egypt and the world and the role of media in facing these challenges.
