Abstract: Biodiesel is becoming the hot topic of every country's agenda. Egypt is expected to start producing biofuels locally soon specially after calling the climate conference by blending a 20% of biofuels with the traditional petroleum fuel by 2020 in aircraft in all over the world. Specialty esters are considered as a high value products that are produced in low quantities but are highly priced with high profit margins. Egypt is a net importer of these chemicals, mainly to serve the sectors of cosmetics, food and beverages, feed additives, lubricants and plastics. Examples of such products are isopropyl palmitate, isopropyl myristate, glycerin laurate, glycerin stearate, myristly myristate.....etc. In this research, a green and simple process is proposed to produce such high value chemicals locally. This project research is considered as a building block toward covering the Egyptian market by such specialty esters.
