MSA’s Faculty of Physical Therapy Students Field Trip To 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital
In line with its commitment to community service and integrating academic learning with practical experience, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) organized a special field trip to 57357 Children’s Cancer Hospital, one of the largest pediatric oncology centers in Egypt and the Middle East.
During the visit, students explored the latest advanced physiotherapy techniques used in treating pediatric cancer patients. They gained valuable insights into the critical role of physical and psychological rehabilitation in supporting children’s recovery. Students also had the opportunity to observe the hospital’s working environment, witnessing first-hand the high standards of care, comprehensive services, and the positive, supportive atmosphere that surrounds the children in every corner of the facility.
The visit included guided tours of various hospital departments and interactive sessions with the children, aimed at spreading positivity and providing psychological support.
The objectives of this educational visit were to:
Enhance students’ practical experience by connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world applications.
Introduce students to modern techniques for rehabilitating children with cancer.
Raise awareness about the vital role of physiotherapy in improving patients’ quality of life.
This initiative reflects MSA’s dedication to preparing well-rounded professionals who are not only academically proficient but also socially conscious, empathetic, and equipped to make a tangible impact in their communities.
