The conference will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, hosting a select group of distinguished scientists in the fields of archaeology and biotechnology. It will cover the comprehensive applications of biotechnology in archaeology and heritage studies of ancient civilizations, focusing on interdisciplinary approaches to unveil the mysteries of ancient Egyptian civilization and other civilizations.
The conference aims to facilitate collaboration among international experts and will include topics such as paleopathology, ancient genomics, isotopes, ancient proteomics, ancient astronomy, rock and mineral science, molecular archaeology, nanotechnology, and their roles in the restoration, preservation, and protection of global cultural heritage.
In collaboration with the Egyptian Archaeologists Union, a museum showcasing 12 ancient Egyptian musical instruments will be established, highlighting their hieroglyphic history, unique uses, discovery sites, and in addition, there will be an exhibition of traditional crafts and products from Egyptian heritage by the artist Mavi Amr Shalabi, the cultural Decoding the Pastivities manager at the Egyptian Archaeologists Union. Also, an exhibition of contemporary art (fine arts and contemporary) by the artist Dalia Najeh will be held.
The conference will be interspersed with a live performance on the Egyptian harp by the artist Yasmin El Harbi, one of the pioneers who worked on reconstructing the Egyptian harp with original Egyptian roots. In early 2004, she presented the first 8 harps, which led to the spread of the harp, prompting many Western and Arab countries to honour her as a creative Egyptian lady and leader of her band.
We invite all interested parties and researchers to participate in this pioneering event that illuminates our paths toward understanding the depths and secrets of the past.
