Sustainability and Beyond Prospects in the Built Environment

Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Nawal El-Degwi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Dr. Khairy Abdel-Hamid, President of the University, and Prof. Dr. Nahed Sobhi, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, MSA University Architecture Department is pleased to announce the Fourth Annual Sustainable Architecture Conference “Sustainability and Beyond: Prospects in the Built Environment,” which is a representation of a transformative approach towards designing and constructing buildings that prioritize environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability.

Over the years, this conference has evolved into a platform for exchanging ideas, exploring innovations, and advancing discussion on sustainable practices within the realm of architecture. This year's conference promises to build upon the successes of its predecessors, digging deeper into crucial topics such as Energy Assessment and Building Performance Analytics, Healthy Indoor Environment, Smart Environment and Green Technologies, Sustainable Urban Design, Climate Change Action and Retrofit and Resilience.

As global awareness of climate change and resource depletion grows, architects are increasingly integrating principles of sustainability into their practices.

This shift not only aims to minimize the environmental impact of buildings but also seeks to enhance occupant well-being and minimize lifecycle costs. From passive design strategies that optimize natural light and ventilation to the use of renewable materials and advanced energy-efficient technologies, sustainable architecture embodies a commitment to creating built environments that harmonize and contribute positively to the natural world.

Join us for a transformative exploration of how architecture can lead the way towards a greener, more sustainable future. Engage with industry experts, visionary architects, and fellow enthusiasts as we research into the latest advancements, trends, and practices shaping the built environment today.
