In light of Sustainable development and achieving SDGs and in collaboration with Al Azzem Toastmasters Club Albahreen and TITANS club at MSA University, the Faculty of Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) hosts an international event on Disability Awareness, emphasizing on the importance of inclusion and encouraging students to recognize the potentials in everyone regardless physical limitation.
Attending this event will be our distinguished speakers:
- Amr Elsohagy, Captin of the Egyptian Para-Swimming team
- Eng.Ayoob Asad, Architect and a Master’s student at Ahlia University and a wheelchair basketball player
- Dr Hassan Almoosawi, a Medical Doctor specializing in dermatology, a founding member of Al Azzem Toastmasters Club
- Sayed Noor Alwadaei, Bahrain’s champion in wheelchair racing, and professional athlete
- Dr.Menan AliyEldeen, Lecturer of Orthopaedics at the Faculty of Physical Therapy at MSA University.
- Prof Hesham Abdelhamid, Professor of Psychology.
This event will be part of MSA University’s Disability Awareness Week and is designed to inspire and empower students by showcasing the remarkable achievements of disability athletes and influential individuals, through health, resilience, and ability.
Objectives of the day:
1. Inspire and Empower: Highlight the stories of disabled athletes and impressive individuals, focusing on their journeys in health, sports, and overcoming challenges.
2. Promote Inclusivity and Awareness: Raise awareness about different forms of disabilities and educate students on the importance of inclusivity and physical rehabilitation.
3. Celebrate Achievements: Acknowledge the extraordinary accomplishments of disability athletes and other leading individuals.
4. Encourage Healthy Lifestyles: Emphasize the role of physical health, and sports in personal empowerment, regardless of disability.
