MSA’s Faculty of Management Sciences Hosted Workshop on Combating Cyber Violence
The Faculty of Management Sciences at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly hosted an engaging and impactful workshop on “Cyber Violence”, delivered in collaboration with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) as part of its mandate in Egypt.
UNODC works globally and within Egypt to strengthen national capacities in addressing drugs, organized crime, corruption, terrorism, and emerging forms of cybercrime. In alignment with these efforts, four UNODC specialists led an in-depth workshop aimed at building awareness and fostering a safer digital environment for today’s youth.
The session introduced students to UNODC’s global and regional strategies for combating cybercrime, shedding light on the growing threats associated with digital platforms and online behavior. Following the presentations, students actively contributed to the discussion by performing short scripts that portrayed real-life scenarios of cyber violence.
This creative and interactive activity brought the topic to life, prompting students to think critically about the serious implications of cyber harassment, online manipulation, and digital abuse. The performances evolved into a dynamic conversation, where participants collaboratively brainstormed preventive measures, awareness strategies, and innovative solutions to help reduce cyber violence in their communities.
The three-hour workshop successfully combined education, performance, and dialogue, empowering students to better understand the complexities of cybercrime and inspiring them to take part in promoting safer online spaces.
This event reflects MSA University’s commitment to addressing contemporary global challenges and equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate an increasingly digital world.
