
MSA Graduate Architect Amr Mousa Won The First Place in UNESCO Visual Identity Competition
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly celebrates the outstanding achievement of one of its brilliant alumni, Architect Amr Ibrahim Mousa, a graduate of the Faculty of Engineering – Architecture Department, for winning first place in the international competition organized by UNESCO to design the official visual identity of Bahla Fort — the first Omani site to be inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
The award was presented at a prestigious ceremony held at Oman Across Ages Museum, in the presence of top officials from the Omani Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, UNESCO representatives, and other distinguished guests.
Amr Mousa’s winning design was a holistic visual identity that creatively captured the deep cultural and architectural heritage of Bahla Fort through a contemporary and globally relevant lens. His submission outshone competitors from around the world, reflecting his distinctive ability to merge architectural depth with visual branding innovation.
Known for his award-winning contributions in both architectural and brand design, Amr brings a unique multidisciplinary approach that continues to gain international recognition. His success is a powerful testament to the caliber of MSA graduates and their ability to excel and lead on global platforms.
