
From MSA to the UK: Arwa Moewad’s Remarkable PhD Journey
October University for Modern Sciences and Arts, the MSA UK Quality Assurance and International Partnerships Unit and the Faculty of Pharmacy are utterly delighted to congratulate Arwa Moewad, Faculty of Pharmacy graduate, for being granted a PhD. Scholarship from our collaborative partner the University of Greenwich, UK.
Arwa graduated from MSA Faculty of Pharmacy, with the highest grades. Accordingly, she was granted a direct PhD Scholarship in University of Greenwich in the field of Pharmacy, her PhD was entitled “Evolution and biotechnological application of microbial natural product pathways”, that she achieved with Distinction from University of Greenwich. Arwa had a great opportunity to attend her PhD Graduation Ceremony, 2025 in University of Greenwich, UK.
MSA University asked Arwa about her experience, and she said:
“Obtaining my PhD from University of Greenwich, UK, was a transformative experience that shaped me professionally, personally, and intellectually. The British education system, with its strong component of structured yet independent learning, significantly enhanced my knowledge and critical thinking abilities. Exposure to diverse perspectives challenged my assumptions and strengthened my reasoning and problem-solving skills. Through this process, I developed the ability to self-learn, take ownership of my research, and pursue knowledge continuously”.
