“Best Paper Award” at the IRICT 2025 Conference

The Faculty of Computer Science at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) is proud to announce that its outstanding student Menna Elgabry, in collaboration with Dr. Ali Hamdi, has been awarded the Best Paper Award at the prestigious 8th International Conference of Reliable Information and Communication Technology (IRICT 2025), held at the Faculty of Sciences Ain Chock, Hassan II University, Casablanca, Morocco.

Their distinguished research paper, titled “Enhancing Emotion Detection with Credibility-Confidence Weighted Ensemble,” presents a novel and highly effective approach for text-based emotion detection. The study introduces a confidence-weighted and credibility-aware ensemble framework that combines multiple fine-tuned small transformer models, achieving state-of-the-art performance while remaining highly efficient and robust.

This exceptional work is to be officially published in the Springer Book Series: Lecture Notes on Data Engineering and Communications Technologies, indexed by Scopus, INSPEC, and EI Compendex, marking a significant academic achievement in the field of artificial intelligence and natural language processing.
