Graphics & Media Arts Graduation projects - Spring 2024

The projects mainly focused on addressing the phenomenon of climate change, in addition to a variety of topics that support the achievement of sustainable development goals. Professor Dr. Tarek Saleh, Dean of the College of Arts and Design, proposed this topic to the scientific departments since the beginning of the fall semester 2023, in light of Egypt's 2030 vision and sustainable development strategies.

 

The projects and their topics varied to serve various directions of the Egyptian state and the needs of the Egyptian society on several levels. Especially those related to the quality of education, citizen health, preservation of heritage, and sustainable cities, without neglecting awareness about consumption organization and designing packages that help achieve this goal.

 

Which includes promoting Egyptian traditional handicrafts, as well as cultural and moral awareness campaigns. These projects reflect innovation and the ability to adapt to societal and environmental transformations. By choosing local environmental materials and a design that supports positive interaction with the surrounding environment. Some of the discussed projects included:

 

Among the projects that were discussed, totaling 57 projects:

 

Ethical Awareness Campaigns:

  • Learning difficulties in children
  • Be careful (The effect of parents’ behaviors on children’s behaviors)
  • Child marriage
  • The importance of sports for children and parents

 

Tourism Promotion:

  • Astro tourism in Egypt
  • Natural protectorates in Egypt (Wadi Degla Protectorate)
  • Cairo International Film Festival
  • Promotion of Mini Egypt - Miniature City of Egypt

 

Promotion of Egyptian Products and Handicrafts:

  • “Preserving Tally Craft”
  • Egyptian jewelry
  • Egyptian (Sun-dried fruits & veggies)

 

Various Topics:

  • Academy for developing talents for people of determination
  • Technological Games City to Develop Intelligence
  • Utilization of banana waste

 

Supervision of the graduation projects was carried out by:

  • Prof. Dr. Nagwa El Adawy, Professor of Advertising Design at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Helwan University, and seconded to MSA University.
  • Prof. Dr. Hisham Nagy, Department of Graphics and Media Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design - MSA University.
  • Dr. Rania Ezzat, Department of Graphics and Media Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design - MSA University.
  • Dr. Sarah Ahmed, Department of Graphics and Media Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design - MSA University.
  • Associate Prof. Tamer Asim, Department of Graphics and Media Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design - MSA University.
  • Dr. Basma Barakat, Department of Graphics and Media Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design - MSA University.

 

These projects were evaluated by a scientific and technical committee of senior professors from Egyptian art colleges and market experts, including:

  • Prof. Dr. Ahmed Hano, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design, at the Faculty of Jalala. (Art specialization)
