Decoding the past Symposium

The Faculty of Biotechnology was extremely delighted to organize its first very own international conference “Decoding the past Symposium”. The conference was held at the SSB Conference Hall, MSA University campus on Sunday the 12th of February.

 

The symposium had the aim of highlighting the application of biomolecular archeology in the form of informative sessions delivered by national and international speakers with special attendance of Dr. Mahmoud Elshandidi; Consultant in the world cultural heritage.

 

The symposium featured an honourable participation of the Italian Cultural Center in addition to the international society in attendance from Switzerland, Greece, Italy, Poland, Kuwait, and KSA to engage and exchange knowledge with Egyptian Universities and research centers in various fields for instance: Paleopathology, Paleogenomics (Ancient DNA), isotopes, paleoproteomics, bioinformatics, nanotechnology, microbiology, anthropology, biomedicine, and molecular science.  

 

The conference consisted of a series of successful lectures delivered by:-

  • Dr. Maissara Abdallah Hussien
  • Dr. Mina Magdy
  • Dr. Hend Sherbiny
  • Dr. Abeer Fouad from Egypt

 

In addition to Dr. David Scalmani from Italy and Dr. Hassan Ashkanani from UAE.

 

It was such a fruitful scientific day in which around 300 attendees praised the importance of the discussed topics.
