The idea of the project is based on the use of artificial intelligence that self-driving vehicles are able to correctly recognize traffic obstacles in real time in order to be useful in preventing accidents, sensors such as cameras are commonly used to help autonomous cars track and monitor their surroundings in low visibility conditions, such as Snow, rain or fog, so these sensors have a hard time reading or detecting signs, pedestrians or other vehicles, but by using modern deep learning algorithms to improve the image under these conditions, the project ended up detecting more objects in the successfully optimized image instead of the lowered image Vision.
This victory comes as a culmination of the efforts of the Faculty of Engineering to link students to the labor market through constructive cooperation with major companies, where cooperation has been made with Valeo in many fields through training for students and the introduction of joint curricula to serve the labor market as well as joint supervision of graduation projects in addition to holding a general scientific conference 2021 under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the transfer of practical experiences to students and graduates in the field of digital technology.
