MSA University’s PR & Advertising Department Showcases Future-Ready Graduation Projects

The PR and Advertising Department at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) proudly hosted the graduation project discussions of its 400-level students, six dynamic days that reflected the depth, relevance, and future-readiness of a new generation of communicators. The event took place from Saturday, January 10th to Thursday, January 15th.

Held under the leadership of Dr. Amany Fahmy, Dean of the Faculty, and Dr. Hayat Badr, Head of the PR and Advertising Department, the discussions showcased projects that went far beyond traditional advertising. Students tackled critical contemporary themes such as Gen Z and youth culture, women’s rights and social relationships, health awareness and addiction recovery, and digital media literacy alongside influencer impact, demonstrating a strong balance between social responsibility and strategic communication.

The opening day featured Grad 2 projects supervised by Dr. Hassan Marie and Radwa Manie. The panel brought together academic and industry expertise, with Dr. Hayat Badr joining Dahlia Ezzat, Business Director at Omnicom, and Adam Moustafa, Founder of Skillstar, in discussions that bridged theoretical foundations with agency-level insights.

On Sunday and Monday, Grad 1 students presented projects under the supervision of Dr. Rania Shaaban, Rana Rashad, and Nadien Zohiery. The panels were enriched by the academic perspectives of Dr. Hassan Marie and Dr. Abeer Salem, alongside industry professionals Nihal Gamal, Marketing and Operations Manager at Good Job, and Mostafa Abo El Fetouh, Marketing Manager at Cy-Shield, who provided valuable feedback grounded in real market practice.

The discussions continued on Tuesday with another Grad 1 cohort, supervised by Dr. Dina Younis and Ayat Embabi. Insightful evaluations were led by Dr. Mariam Amer, together with Wafaa Al-Badry, Corporate Communications Senior Manager, offering students a strategic corporate communication lens.

The week concluded on Wednesday and Thursday with Grad 1 projects supervised by Dr. Hayat Badr and Sally Saeed. Panels featured Dr. Abeer Salem and Dr. Hassan Marie, joined by prominent agency leaders Khaled El Masry, Managing Director of 199X Agency, and Adham Hossam, CEO of Marketers Squad, reinforcing the strong connection between academic learning and industry expectations.

Across all six days, the graduation project discussions stood as a clear testament to the department’s commitment to applied learning, critical thinking, and professional readiness, marking not just the end of an academic journey, but the beginning of a new chapter for future PR and advertising professionals.
