Pharmacy Level 5 Students Explore Industrial Production at Alandalous Pharmaceuticals
Our Level 5 students from the Faculty of Pharmacy at October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) enjoyed an enriching field trip to Alandalous Pharmaceuticals as part of the Pharmaceutical Technology II (PHT562) course.
Accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Nihal Elsayyad and TA Salma Assem, the students explored key industrial departments directly related to the production cycle. The visit provided a close-up look at the tablet manufacturing process, starting from raw material handling to granulation, compression, and coating. Students observed how large-scale machinery is used to transform powder blends into high-quality finished tablets with precision and efficiency. In the warehouse, students learned about the organized flow of materials, from receiving and storage to distribution, and how proper handling and controlled conditions support the entire manufacturing operation.
We extend our sincere gratitude to Andalous Pharmaceuticals, one of Egypt’s leading and fastest-growing pharmaceutical manufacturers, for generously opening their doors to our students. With their advanced facilities, strong commitment to innovation, and dedication to producing high-quality medicines, Andalous continues to play a vital role in strengthening the national healthcare sector. Their support provided our students with a truly valuable learning opportunity. This field trip was an excellent opportunity for students to link theoretical knowledge with real industrial practice and strengthen their understanding of pharmaceutical production.
