MSA Pharmacy and Physical Therapy Students Join Interprofessional Education Visit at Imbaba General Hospital
Our students from the Faculties of Pharmacy and Physical Therapy at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA) took part in an engaging and insightful Interprofessional Education (IPE) visit to Imbaba General Hospital, where learning leapt into real clinical practice.
Immersed in the fast-paced environments of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Burn Department, our students gained exposure to critical patient care and the importance of multidisciplinary teamwork. A highlight of the visit was a comprehensive patient assessment and case-taking activity, which allowed students to apply their knowledge, enhance their clinical judgment, and better understand the collaborative process behind effective healthcare delivery.
Throughout the day, students observed how cooperation between healthcare professionals ensures safe, holistic, and patient-centered treatment. Pharmacy students explored the pharmacist’s essential role in managing medications and ensuring therapeutic accuracy, while physical therapy students discovered how rehabilitation techniques support recovery, improve mobility, and restore independence.
The experience was both educational and inspiring, emphasizing that exceptional patient care is built on communication, collaboration, and compassion.
