
MSA Journalism Department hosts “Mastering Writing for Mass Media” Discussing AI in content creation and news reporting.
The Department of Journalism at October University For Modern Sciences And Arts (MSA) held an exciting and insightful event titled “Mastering Writing for Mass Media.”The gathering brought together a dynamic mix of students and top-tier media professionals for a deep dive into journalism, advertising, and the evolving role of AI in content creation.
The event featured an impressive lineup of guest speakers: Mr. Mohamed Tantawy, Managing Editor of Youm7, Mr. Oday Ebrahime, Managing Editor of Cairo24, and Mr. Ahmed El Batt, Senior Media Planner at Peace Cake. With years of experience behind them, the speakers captivated the audience with engaging talks and a lively panel discussion that explored the creative and ethical uses of artificial intelligence in producing compelling written and visual media.
Adding a personal touch to the day’s activities, the event also honored six outstanding MSA journalism students with certificates of appreciation for their creative short video projects. These projects supervised by Dr. Eman Sayed Elahl were part of their coursework and showcased a range of themes and storytelling styles. Titles included a heartfelt feature on Gaza-based photographer Moataz Aziza, character profiles on Indian actress Aliaa Bhatt and Egyptian actor Aly Kassem, a personal reel titled “A Day in My Life,” and two engaging pieces in science journalism: “How to Learn Photography” and “The Butterfly Effect.”
The day was a celebration of talent, innovation, and the future of journalism, where tradition meets technology, and creativity knows no bounds.
