MSA IPE Hub Hosts Successful “Rehabilitation After Oral Surgery” Workshop
The MSA IPE Hub at October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA University) recently hosted the second in a series of Interprofessional Education (IPE) Workshops, focusing on “Rehabilitation After Oral Surgery: A Collaborative Approach.
The workshop united dentistry and pharmacy students with faculty professionals from both disciplines to explore the vital role of collaboration in post-operative care following oral surgery.
Through interactive discussions, real-world case studies, and collaborative problem-solving techniques, Professor Noha Nassar Head of Pharmacology Department Faculty of Pharmacy and Dr Mahmoud Ibrahim Nassar Lecturer of Oral Medicine & Periodontology, Faculty of Dentistry guided participants in refining their skills in managing pain, optimizing medication regimens, and preventing complications across diverse patient scenarios. Special attention was given to addressing challenges posed by patients with complex medical conditions, emphasizing the critical role of interdisciplinary teamwork in overcoming obstacles that dentists cannot tackle alone, ultimately ensuring improved patient recovery.
Finally, the workshop wrapped up with an engaging Q&A session, offering participants a chance to deepen their understanding and resolve any outstanding queries.
The MSA IPE Hub invites all students to join future workshops, where they can enhance their skills, expand their networks, and build a solid foundation for thriving careers in healthcare
