MSA Faculty of Physical Therapy Hosts ‘Breaking Free from Addiction’ Awareness Event

In line with October University for Modern Sciences and Arts’ commitment to supporting health and social issues and enhancing public awareness, the Faculty of Physical Therapy organized a distinguished awareness event under the patronage of Professor Dr. Olfat Diab, Dean of the Faculty, titled: “Breaking Free from Addiction: Building Resilience, Inspiring Change”.

The event aims to raise awareness about the dangers of addiction and its health and social impacts, shedding light on the importance of prevention, treatment, and integrated rehabilitation. It also emphasizes the pivotal role of physical therapy in supporting recovering individuals and improving their quality of life by restoring their physical and psychological abilities.

The event witnessed a wide attendance from students across various university faculties and faculty members, who actively engaged with insightful lectures presented by experts in mental health and physical therapy. These experts discussed the latest scientific methods in prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation to achieve sustainable results.

This initiative is part of the Faculty’s commitment to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly:
