
MSA Faculty of Mass Communication Celebrates World Development Information Day
In celebration of World Development Information Day, and within the framework of October University for Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA)’s Mediterranean Initiative to unify university efforts in combating climate change, the Faculty of Mass Communication held a special event on Monday, October 27th, 2025.
The event featured a screening of the award-winning short film “Biophilia” by alumna Amira Abdel Fadil (Class of 2023), which has earned multiple international awards. Several student-led environmental awareness campaigns were also showcased, highlighting creative approaches to sustainability and climate action.
The celebration was attended by Mr. Mohamed El-Hawary, Executive Director and Editor-in-Chief of El Fekr Foundation for Media and Public Relations, a key media partner of MSA’s Mediterranean Initiative.
Guests also included TV director Khaled El-Nashar, creator of the acclaimed documentary series “Khaled El-Nashar Documentaries”, who discussed his experiences in environmental storytelling.
On the sidelines of the event, an eco-friendly exhibition was organized, displaying Egyptian-made recycled products to encourage students to adopt sustainable lifestyles and raise awareness of climate change.
